Welcome to Midwest Dance Academy Inc. website.   We offer a wide range of classes taught by professional instructors who can give your student the knowledge they need to succeed.  It is very important for the young dancer to get the correct training from the beginning.  We offer one free placement class for new students.  Call and schedule your free class today.  Once you see the difference you will understand why Midwest Dance Academy is the right choice for dance education.

Hip-Hop Begins

Hip-Hop has started.  Levels 4-5 are scheduled on Monday nights from 7:30- 8:30. Levels 2-3 are scheduled on Saturday mornings from 10:00-11:00.  Students who wish to still enroll may do so until the end of January.

Now in  our second decade of establishment, we are very proud of our growth and accomplishments.  It is with the help of our incredible professional staff that we have been able to reach our goals and provide to our students the best possible dance education available in the metro east area.  As we continue to strive and reach for higher standards for our students we remain true to our original dream, purpose, and directive.  Midwest Dance Academy Inc. offers professional instruction in dance, as well as, focusing on the student as an individual.  The artistic director's philosophy is that inside every child is a light of talent all that is required to make them shine is to instill a sense of pride and belief in themselves.  Midwest Dance Academy Inc. main goal and prupose is to help our students find the confidence, through dance, to accomplish great things in their life.  Whether that means they choose to become a professional dancer or they pursue a career in another field.  While providing this professional atmosphere, it is also the Academy's priority to make the learning process fun and exciting for the student.  It is this balance that has helped the artistic director and his staff to become successful dancers and instructors.

Curriculum

Ballet: Classical style of dance; stresses academic technique, vocabulary, and the importance of body placement.

Pointe: An extension of the classical ballet technique incorporating "toe" work, which enables the dancer to use a special shoe and dance "sur les pointe" or "on toe".

Modern: Dance form that builds on the basics of ballet, emphasizing a broader range of movement and exploring a more creative style of dance.

Jazz: Movement based on contemporary styles of dance.

Lyrical Jazz: A classical form of jazz with roots based strongly in ballet and modern.

Tap: Movement that utilizes rhythms and patterns in conjunction with basic dance technique.

Hip - Hop:

Combination Classes: Dance for ages 3, 4-5, & 6-7 years old; class consist of 30 min of ballet (teaching the fundamentals) and 30 min of tap.

Piano/Voice Lessons:  Lessons designed for those interested in learning a different art form.

 

Tuition Fees

Registration Fee:  one time fee per year; $20.00 per student (due at time of registration).

Combo Class: $43.00 a month

Monthly tuition for levels 1 through 5: Based on number of hours taken per week.

                   1 hour......................................$48.00 per month

                   1.5 hours..................................$72.00 per month

                    2 hours....................................$88.00 per month

                   2.5 hours..................................$110.00 per month

                     3 hours...................................$122.00 per month

There are added savings for each additional hour taken.  Students in the same family will have their hours combined for additional savings.  Rates are the same for a 3, 4, or 5 week month.  Tuition is due by the 5th of each month. Late fees assessed on the 10th of each month.

 

Costume Fees: Our Yearend Concert fees are assessed in November and a deposit will be required at that time the balance will be due after the first of the year. 

Yearend Concert Fees:  A $35.00 fee for individual students and a $45.00 fee for families will be assesed in the spring to help pay for the cost of the production of the Yearend Concert.
